Set atop a hill at an altitude of 8300 feet above sea level, Camp Thangdhar is an adventure and leisure camp located at a village called Thangdhar near Dhanaulti. It is paradise for the adventurous and outdoorsy types.
During Your Stay: There are fourteen alpine tents with identical beds and different toilets. The six large safari deluxe tents boast of adjoining toilets with running water. The tents have the basic amenities like fresh linen, mattresses and side tables. Hot water is provided if required. The tents have electricity and are pretty airy.
Satisfy your taste buds: There is a multi cuisine kitchen which provides sumptuous South Indian, Garhwali, North Indian and Chinese food in the dining tents. The three main course meals are served in buffet style.
Adventures and Activities: Moon light trail or night hiking is exploring the dense mountain forests with a guide and a torch. The tourists can avail of the sightseeing facilities for the Tehri Dam which is Asia’s largest dam. Rock climbing, mountain biking and hammocking are some of the other fun things to do here.
